What Is The Property Card?

A Property Card is documented proof regarding the ownership of property.
Pune Property Card is commonly known as sampati card or malmatta patrak.
A Pune property card holds information about land ownership, the total area of the plot, survey numbers, and bank loans or liabilities registered against the land.
While urban property cards have existed for decades, rural property cards are now being distributed in talukas like Daund, Baramati, Haveli, and Mulshi under the central government’s SVAMITVA scheme to provide clear land titles to rural homeowners.
While the rural SVAMITVA scheme aims to help villagers monetize their property, the urban Property Card is the standard proof of land ownership for all residential and commercial properties in the city.
