Paint Colours

Choosing the right paint colours for your home is a tough decision to make. Paint has a different range of sheens, some last long, whereas others are used on different textures. Latex is a type of paint that is most preferred and has long-lasting durability. It does not fade and breathes better than grease. You only build your dream home once and hence, you shouldn’t settle for less!
It is easy to clean glossy paint. Especially, if you have children at home, it is advisable to apply a coating that will help the dirt come off with a wet sponge. You can even opt for semi-gloss coating, which is a good option for the kitchen, bath, etc. because you can wipe away the dirt easily.
Let us look at some of the colors you can choose for your Home Interiors.

1. Choose colors that match your design

You need to analyze all your options and match them with your designs. The color should speak your personality and simultaneously blend well with the theme of every space of your house. Pick a color that matches the furniture and decor. You can make any color look good as long as it speaks your style.

2. Decide a look for your house

If you want a subtle look, choose colors that are soothing and give the feeling of calmness. This usually looks good in master bedrooms or bathrooms. Try using different textures to make your home look appealing. You will be surprised to see how different textures can completely change the whole look of your house.
If you want an elegant look, choose neutral colors that are simple yet pleasing. Neutral colors give you the flexibility to change the theme of a room very quickly. Always remember the lighter color you choose, the more spacious your room will appear to be.
If you want a vibrant look, choose vibrant and flashy colors. Try working with colors that contrast. You can even select black to give it an oriental look.

3. Test before buying

Make the best use of testers before buying a particular paint. Try applying it on different parts of your wall to see how it looks in real life. This will help you evaluate all your options and then select the best one.

4. Test the colors on your furniture

You can also test the texture of the paint on your furniture or any other element of your house before you paint. Paint a small patch of your furniture and lean it against the wall to get a clear idea.

5. Warm and Cool

Neutrals are never boring, color your bedroom using the warm and cool contrast. The effect that comes out by mixing these two shades will give the feeling of comfort.

6. Maintain consistency

It may look like a good idea to experiment with different colors, however, you must keep in mind that every space of your house must connect. Hence, consistency is important, choose the best wall paint colors that match every minute detail of your interior space.

7. Make the best use of the color wheel

Understand how the undertones work, what color schemes you need, etc. Usually, on the color wheel, the colors that are next to each other, like blue and green are considered to be more relaxing and casual.

8. Go with the three paint rule

Choose the 6:3:2 ratio to select from light, medium, and dark colors. This is one of the best strategies that will help you limit your palette to three colors and give the best finish.

9. Dark to light

Use darker colors on the floor, medium colors on your walls, and light colors on your ceilings. This will give an aesthetic look to your house.
