In violation of the real estate registration laws and the Maharashtra Prevention of Fragmentation & Consolidation of Holdings Act, 78 employees of the registration department of state property are being investigated by the government.<\/span><\/p>\n

44 of the 78 authorities are from Pune, 23 are from Thane, 8 are from Aurangabad, and 3 are from Latur, out of the 78 named officials.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the most recent information available to the department, 13,920 property records from Pune, Aurangabad, Thane, and Latur were being scrutinised.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

An official from the registration department stated, “Department probe is ongoing in all cases and certain officers have been handed show-cause notices.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In the recent winter session of the Assembly, Revenue Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil stated that the campaign against the registration of assets in contravention of the law would remain in all districts. He claimed that a few erroneous occurrences of these registrations had also been recorded from Jalna, Osmanabad, and Parbhani.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the state-appointed four-member team reviewing three lakh papers from 27 sub-registrar offices in Pune in 2020 and providing a thorough report, the department opened an investigation. The state investigated the shady cases involving the registration of unlawful plots and unauthorised constructions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vikhe Patil testified to the House that a careful eye was kept on the registration of papers in violation of the RERA and the fragment Act after the inconsistencies relating to the Hadapsar office of the registration department in Pune came to light.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In response to the motion for calling attention introduced by MLAs Siddarth Shirole, Sangram Thopte, Madhuri Misal, and Sanjay Jagtap, the minister made this statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The state government will ultimately decide how to proceed with the registered documents, according to an official in the properties registration department.<\/span><\/p>\n

A former departmental official added, “Nobody will want their agreement to be cancelled. The drive can simply be a caution to the authorities to examine the paperwork when registering.”<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
