{"id":811,"date":"2023-01-05T06:30:57","date_gmt":"2023-01-05T06:30:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.homebazaar.com\/news\/?p=811"},"modified":"2023-01-05T06:30:57","modified_gmt":"2023-01-05T06:30:57","slug":"delhi-restrictions-on-non-essential-construction-work-eased","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.homebazaar.com\/news\/delhi-restrictions-on-non-essential-construction-work-eased\/","title":{"rendered":"Delhi: Restrictions On Non-Essential Construction Work Eased"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The national capital Delhi has officially lifted the restriction on non-essential construction and demolition activities that were put in place in Delhi due to the city&#8217;s poor air quality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As Delhi\u2019s air quality improved, the stage 3 limits of the GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan) have been lifted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Delhi-air NCR&#8217;s quality would not revert to the severe category in the ensuing days, according to a directive from the CAQM (Commission for Air Quality Management).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology and India Meteorological Department&#8217;s prognosis did not indicate that the AQI would move into the &#8220;severe&#8221; range in the ensuing days, it stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the entire National Capital Region (NCR), the directive stated, &#8220;It is, therefore, deemed that it is advisable to relax the harsh limitations &amp; scale back Stage-III of the GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Graded Response Action Plan subcommittee made the decision on January 2 that the continuous actions carried out under Stage III of GRAP intend to continue for the time being in light of Delhi&#8217;s pollution levels continuing to fall under the &#8220;very poor&#8221; category, the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change announced in an update on Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All construction operations are prohibited under Stage III of the GRAP, with the exception of those that are of national importance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to a statement from the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Delhi&#8217;s total AQI was trending upward because of the city&#8217;s poor weather and meteorological parameters and low wind speeds.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The national capital Delhi has officially lifted the restriction on non-essential construction and demolition activities that were put in place in Delhi due to the city&#8217;s poor air quality.\u00a0 As Delhi\u2019s air quality improved, the stage 3 limits of the GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan) have been lifted.
