This bridge, known as Atal Setu, holds the distinction of being the longest bridge and sea bridge in India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The state government has established a toll charge of<\/span><b> Rs 250 per<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> car for one-way travel on the MTHL, with concessions available for frequent, and regular commuters, and pass holders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The MTHL, spanning <\/span><b>22 km with six lanes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, connects Sewri on the island city to Nhava-Sheva on the mainland.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0It comprises a 16.5 km long sea link and 5.5 km via ducts on land.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The construction utilized 177,903 metric tonnes of steel and 504,253 metric tonnes of cement.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Currently, the two access points to Navi Mumbai are the Airoli-Mulund connector and the Vashi Connector, both plagued by heavy traffic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Shrikant Basare, Homebazaar.com\u2019s Director said,<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201cThe Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) is not just a bridge; it&#8217;s a gateway to transformative possibilities for the real estate sector. As MTHL connects Mumbai and Navi Mumbai seamlessly, it propels economic growth, integrates regions, and opens up new horizons for real estate development on both sides of the link.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The MTHL is expected to reduce travel time between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, fostering economic integration with the neighbouring Raigad district.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>MTHL Connectivity:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">MTHL&#8217;s connectivity on the Navi Mumbai side includes the Shivaji Nagar Interchange, which will link with CIDCO&#8217;s proposed Coastal Road, providing connectivity to Navi Mumbai International Airport and JNPT.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Additionally, there are ramps at SH-54 near Jasai, facilitating connectivity to the Panvel-Uran State Highway, and an interchange at National Highway 4B near Jasai, connecting Panvel, Uran, and JNPT.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Anticipated traffic projections indicate 39,300 vehicles daily between Sewri and the Shivaji Nagar interchange and 9,800 vehicles between the Shivaji Nagar and Chirle interchange once the MTHL is operational.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Designed to have a lifespan of 100 years and accommodate 70,000 vehicles daily, the bridge will significantly reduce travel distance and time, saving commuters at least an hour on the journey from South Mumbai to Chirle.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, constructed at a cost of approximately \u20b917,840 crore, will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
