Parel is known for several mills and now it's an emerging region for real estates. Parel has a rich history, it was separated from the 7 islands of Mumbai then Bombay. They say that Parel belongs to the 13th Century of Raja Bhimdev. The name Parel was derived from the Parali Vaijanath Mahadev temple, dedicated to Shiva.
